Update 21st April 2020 – open letter to WHO to close wildlife markets
Asia for Animals Coalition has supported the second appeal to request the World Health Organisation (WHO) introduce and enforce legislation to close wild animal markets globally following a response from our previous letter that did not satisfy our requests. This is an updated version of the appeal sent earlier this month with now 340 organisations signing on to support this call to action from WHO, UN and OIE. Update 8th April 2020 – coalition member HSI releases a white paper on why the Wildlife trade, transport and consumption must end
